Very nice, detailed comparison. From the looks of it, I agree with your ultimate conclusion. For now I am happy with DW CS3, but I might make the upgrade eventually.

Glad I could be of help. Suggestions for future comparisons and reviews are welcome!

Hi.

instead of Adobe, Microsoft tries to win users when they are still young. I think its dreamspark project (www.deamspark.com) helps Microsoft gaining users in the future, because the youth gets used to the Microsoft applications and will thus use them later more likely, too. To use Adobe programs you still have to pay a good amount of money to use it as a student and commercial use is still pohibited. I think Adobe should change its marketing strategy an give away their products for students cheaper or for free, too!

Thanks,

Marcel

Thanks Marcel, I can’t replace Adobe altogether, but Dreamspark certainly looks very profitable for young people or anyone furthering their education. I will be sure to promote it.

da best. Keep it going! Thank you

On “GUI”, you say that “Dreamweaver gets the point”, yet you actually gave Expression Web the extra pint. Am I missing something here?

OK, I get it now, sorry for the dumb post. ;)

Nice job, the only reason I might choose expressions web over Dreamweaver is because of its tight integration with the other products in the expressions suite. Blend is nice and easier to learn than flash, Illustrator and Design are pretty equal to me, and while encoder is not as nice as premiere you can buy the whole expression studio for less than premiere. Last at work we use SharePoint and the ES integrates better.

Great review
